Aim of Unit 41 is Personal and Professional Development

The goal of Unit 41 is Personal and Professional Development is to enhance the personal and professional skills of the learners which could help them to obtain their future objectives. Therefore, learners would be able to evaluate the various approaches for enhancing their skills. Furthermore, this study also helps in demonstrating teamwork development capabilities which could ensure a better position for the learners. After the appropriate completion of this unit, the learner would be successful in identifying their personal strengths as well as weaknesses. LO1 Analyze how self-managed learning can lead to enhance life-long development

The self managed learning through clear cut setting of goals can be accomplished by the use of various styles in learning such as personal preferences; Kolb’s learning cycle and pragmatism. The approaches to learning include learning through research, mentoring, coaching and a variety of social networks and newsgroups. As a result, effective learning can take place through self assessment, planning and organization. Apprenticeships, higher education continuous professional development can lead to self inflicted culture. Enhanced capacity series with private learning and response from others, learning disappointments and achievements can provide a proper assessment of learning.

LO2 Be able to take responsibility for own personal and professional development

The self appraisal techniques mainly include auditing the skills and evaluate self management, interpersonal as well as leadership skills. A plan of development has to be present made taking into consideration the current performance, future needs, opportunities and threats for career progression. The main goals, action plans, dates of review, learning programmes and plan for personal development have to be acquired.  Construction as well as developing portfolio and maintaining and presenting transcripts are important processes for self development and learning.

LO3 Be able to review own personal and professional development plan

The varieties of styles and alertness of private styles along with the blow of personal style as well as interface with others has to be adopted. Time management skills could be adopted through prioritizing workloads, setting objectives of work, making effective use of time, booking appointments and dependable estimate of instance can be developed with the help of such techniques.
