Unit 1 Communication in Health and Social Care Organization is aimed at developing learner’s awareness of communication different types which are used in Health and social care sector. The impact of effective communication to mitigate barriers has been identified in this unit. Along with this it also focuses on the importance of the development of a legal framework. The applicable theories which are helpful to bring additional understanding regarding communication skills in health are humanistic theory, cognitive and behaviorist theory. This also deals with technique and purposes. The techniques are divided into written, verbal and non-verbal form. The main intention behind the application of communication strategy is to build interpersonal relationship stronger. There are different kind of barriers could arise in the way of healthy communication which are the usage of inappropriate language, misinterpretation, breach of confidentiality or trust. This also helps to address the supporting system which is required to fulfill communication needs. It addresses that usage of alternative language, translation and positive environmental condition are helpful in this regards. Maintenance of confidentiality is also important to ensure the protection of the individual. 

LO2 Understand how various factors influence the communication process in health and social care

It is important to identify the factors which are helpful to influence the communication process in health care. Maintenance of values and culture in health and social care system is highly required and it should be beyond age, sex, education, gender and social class. This particular section also a sheds light on the usage of legislation, charters and codes of practice. This helps to bring equality, confidentiality and diversity in the system. It is also required to maintain organizational policy and system. It is also considered as a good practice according to the service standard.

The users can experience the benefit of understanding the individual need, efficiency in the administration process and maintenance of independence. Organizational fluency could be maintained if the organization takes care of staff needs. Important legal considerations are also addressed such as security in data protection and maintenance of accuracy.
